I have a ton of old slides that I want to upload onto my computer for editing.I don't however have the software necessary for doing this. Does anyone have any ideas as to what software I can download and install in order to accomplish this?Sorry, it only just now 'clicked' that you already have the hardware - hadn't really seen it in the title. So, I Googled SVP Scanner and it looks like all you need is an SD-card to put into your scanner.See. Yes, I do have the machine.it's the FS1000 down on the bottom right in one of the pages that EstherP linked me to.

The problem is that my computer is not recognizing the machine when I plug it in. It makes that noise that CPs make when a piece of hardware is connected but the application that I use to view the slides does not recognize the scanner.I have the SVP, PS9000, it came with BlazePhoto software. Works OK, but had problems with my Vista Business os. Works fine on my Vista Pro os on my tower and also on my Windows 7 laptop. I had to email BlazePhoto several times for help and they were fairly helpful but the Vista Business still has some probs that I figured out how to get around.

With that said, what software did your scanner come with? Your computer won't find the required drivers unless your running Win7 or better and and even then it is doubtful. I will suggest you look at the BlazePhoto software. Not sure but I think they have a trial version.

It also has sorting and minor pp software included that I really didn't care for, but it did not try to take over all my pics like most other pp software does, so it isn't or I sould say doesn't give me any headaches. And is CP your computer? And what noise are you talking about?:?::idea.

You Need the updated driver for that scanner for what ever operating system you are runningWhen I plugged it into this computer for the first time yesterday it installed the drivers automatically. The Blaze Software I downloaded is 2.0.1, and I'm sure it's newer than the software that came with the original cd. And this new software I just installed is a 'trial' version. But it's still not recognizing the hardware.Pappy, the noise I'm referring to is that beep you hear when you plug a piece of hardware into your computer to tell you that the computer recognizes it.When I plug my camera in it makes that noise, or if I plug in my targus reader it makes it.Thanks, btw to all of you who have taken the time to reply and try to help with this. I'd hate to have to buy a new scanner just to get software that worked with it.
